i actually have whole razer set up if you wanna, check my System
Been using Lycosa for 2 years now and never ONCE had any problems with it first the typing on it is really comfy the keys arent too tall, press down easily and make nice sound
been pro running arena on wow ~2600 rating and man im telling you naga+ lycosa is pure win.
Razer you either love it or hate it

and planning on saving up for Chimaera 5.1 and Nostromo coz im tired of this long wired headphones i like to chill on my bed while watching movies at night time and wireless headphones is just what i need

very good keyboard HOWEVER the LEDs are not bright enough and some of the keys are almost blacked out coz of how weak the LED power is (ie the escape, f1, f2, f3 and tab keys), thats the only let down, and u cant even adjust the brightness which suks even more :-(
post #23 of 31
razer lycorsa.... u'll see more cons than pro in this keyboard. had the same similar thing with the media keys.... keys jammed until u re-plug the usb. cant see the letters in a lit room if the backlit is off. the 3.5mm is rubbish. i used it for about half a year, lend to a friend as he requested and i told him not to return to me again.

if you're a stubborn and want a razer, get everglide dkt... if shops still have them

never mind guys just got back from the shop and i tested the Lycosa but haha when i asked them to plug it in he had that USB problem LOL!! then i noticed that the key pad on the side is lagging and the Q buttom didn't work.. Well it did work but really lag, like i pressed Q and after only 3 seconds it appear..

then i asked to test MS X4 and man that was really nice keyboard so i said hell im getting it and bought an Microsoft Sidewinder X4.

I've had mine as my primary for a year, and like it. USB port works, no failures other than the craptacular driver/applet for macros or whatever. Whoever said it had laptop keys is full of it, the keys are deeper and have more travel than a laptop keyboard. I heard complaints when I was researching my purchase about the coating coming off of the keys, I have yet to experience that. You'd think the residues of one-handed web surfing would affect the key coating eventually, but I think mine will survive for another two years. Just don't use chemically aggressive lubes and you'll be fine.

The only problem I have is the background lighting being VERY random and VERY annoying (especially when gaming and locking down on keys likeeeeeeeeeeee that lol). Also problem with the keys locking down when the background lighting is random I already RMA'd it once then it's been a bit random then calm for some months so might end up RMA'ing this board too lol.

I bought the lycosa. A couple keys didn't work and from the research that I should of done there is a decent amount that are flawed. Hopefully now they will have fixed this.

It is a very nice keyboard if you get lucky.

I know razer has a mechanical keyboard that is a good price too. I don't know which you prefer.

the black widow is like a mix of cherry blue and black. tacky sounds with chery black-like springs. i'm using 6gv2... so far so good, WASD key letters are 'blacken' much early then my expectation

I don't own the Lycosa but I have an Arctosa. It's been working fine for me since early summer of 2010.
