New to SSD newbie questions

Thread Starter
I'm new to using a SSD over HDD. I will be buying a 128GB SSD Sata III Corsair. My HDD is a Western Digital Sata III 624GB HDD.

I want to use the SSD to run Windows 7 OS and updates. Use the HDD for all my storage. Video, songs, movies, documents and data.

My newbie question is do I format my current HDD to remove windows and then install the fresh Windows 7 onto the SDD only as my primary boot drive in bios?

I guess I'm not sure how to configure the HDD afterward and asking this forum on how to go about it. I'd like to keep the SSD for Windows OS only since with updates can get pretty large.

Do I keep things like iTunes, on the SSD or HDD or does it matter at all?

If the HDD is just a blank drive how do I keep My Documents - Pictures, Music, Documents, and Videos if it's part of the SSD? If I'm supposed to keep them on the SSD doesn't that fill up the SSD rather quickly?

Aside from Crysis 2 I intend to keep my games on the HDD as well. Like WOW or Star Trek MMO being such huge files.

if you wipe the other drive you risk loosing the data, a "fresh install" of everything is needed on the SSD after you install windows 7. On one note, i would link a lot to your 640gb drive because i filled up my 64GB SSD really quick and had to do some mods on my SSD and HDD.

You can actually just install onto the SSD and dual boot with your SSD & HDD to test everything out and make sure your install was sucessfull. then just wipe the HDD after you back up your important data.

Then just install all your other programs on the HDD.
