460W to be exact.
I noticed the 460 watt when I configured it. edit: to delete sentence

Damn you beat me.

Anyway. Yeah you are way better off building it yourself. You'd be either crazy or loaded to buy an Intel i7 990x just for whatever this monstrosity is for... I'd understand for video editing, but even thats overkill.

Um... Please tell me something is wrong, but at newegg it comes out...very close to HP's price.

Of course some parts will be cheaper quality on hp's end, but...wow.

I purchased the Sandy Bridge HP at Sams club and returned it because of the recall.
That system was pretty fast and only $1,300 with the new 2711x LED monitor.

I wonder if HP will be smart enough to put the operating system on the solid state drive for her?

Where are these things built? Mexico or China?

Don't worry we haven't ordered yet.

Good question from Brokebrain.

Are these custom systems built in Mexico, China or the US?

Don't get a computer of that caliber from HP. You don't get any of the bloatware if you build it yourself, you'll know where you put hands and there's a few places you can slash prices.. easily. What does she plan on doing with the PC?

Well in reality you can take about $800 off of that and just get an i7 950 with the same practical results for a standard consumer.....
