cant find any channels on my DTV

hey all!

i just went out and purchased a brand new LG 32" LD350 DTV
its an awesome set and has built in Freeview

when i turned it on for the first time it says welcome and whatnot then asks what country your in (Australia), then asks if your using it as a store demo or at home (home) and then prompts if you want to auto tune so i did, i have a Digital indoor antenna made by Crest (LS2000) it cost me 35$aus.

the auto tune could not find anything at all, no radio, no channels no nothing! frown.gif i have the tv in my room and there is no wall socket to plug into and the only one in the house is in the lounge room and too use that id need a 15 or so meter long cable and splitter.. dont really want cable running through my house >.<<br />
apparently the LS2000 made by Crest is a fairly good indoor antenna ( for 35$ it would want to be =\ ) so it should just work right? i even went for a slow drive around the block to see which way other people have their antenna's so i could point mine the same way and still nothing..

so does anyone know what could be wrong? ive checked settings on the tv and seems to be all setup fine.

(i could fork out a heap to put in a wall socket but id like that to be last resort)

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried plugging in a coaxial cable to the TV? Even if you have to move the TV temporarily.

Crest LS2000 should be a fairly good indoor antenna.

Try moving antenna around the room, positioning it higher (eg on top of a book shelf) and as close to a window as possible.

BTW, do a lot of your neighbours have good reception indoor? (If you see everyone around the block uses an outdoor one, then the outlook does not look good.)
