AMD X4 965BE Redeployment Build :)

Thread Starter
So I'm returning from Afghanistan in about a month and I want to have my parts waiting for me so that I can relax, have a beer, and put my new pc together once I get back. This is what I've got so far...

ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 (eventually I'll buy another for crossfire)
CORSAIR XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600 (2x2GB)
Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB
CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX

Now I'm still trying to put my finger on the case I want, but still haven't decided. Trying to make sure it'll have some good cable management qualities and with that good airflow. Any suggestions?

Also I've got the money to really deck this out however I want, but I don't wanna go crazy, so if you see anywhere I could trim a few bucks let me know. Necessity is everything

Cooler Master HAF932, large case but has great airflow and cable management.

Why not implement an SSD and take out the velociraptor and get a nice 1tb HDD such as a Samsung F3 or a Western Digital Black?

The SSD will be a great addition to that build.

Velociraptor is still a good HDD, but a WB black or SSD will be better. The WB black goes head to head with a velociraptor and SSD blows it out of the water.

why not look at some of the amd six cores there not much more than the 965 the 1055t is at 180 and the 1090t is at 199

Yea i know the six cores aren't that much more, but I mean whats the real benefit your getting from the six core? It might just be the difference in me replacing the quad core sooner and the six core later down the road...I don't think its really worth it.

Render times are better, higher PPD in F@H, and more games are being coded for 6 core PCs. Its kinda like the quads a few years back, now anything with less than 4 is eh...
