Replaced Bluray Laser Deck. Now drive won't suck in discs.

Title says it. I bought a new laser and deck for my old fat ps3. Made sure it was proper model. I believe I have everything plugged in properly, pretty meticulous about it. But when I turn it on and attempt to put in a game to see if it will work, it doesn't accept it.

If i push a bit gently I can get the disc in about halfway (Not forcing it any farther than that) then the blue light on the console comes on, telling me a disc is in. I hit the eject button to make sure it doesn't continue assuming so, and pull the game out.

Some help would be much appreciated fellas! I can post pictures if necessary.

Update: Messing around with it a bit more. It almost seems as if it has no power to it. The arms aren't grabbing the disc and the arms aren't caught on anything. I can manually move them myself.

Mahbe you have broken the sensor that detects te discs. Have you plugged in the SMALL black and red plug?
