Better SLI Performance

Thread Starter
i wanted to know i am going to upgrade my current Sig Rig to Sli i wanted to know what was better performance wise,

Asus GTX480

or the Gainward GTX570

if i go the 570 would need to save more $$$ but i would like to know if the performance would increase alot or just a little or even nothing.... so im currently weighing my options as to whether it would be worth it or not..

Thanks guys...

Get another GTX480, beast cards in SLI.
since you already have one 480 why not get the second one? 480SLI will rip any game out there.

Hope you're not thinking of mixing and matching...

You have a GTX480...get the second Asus GTX480 for SLI and be happy. Unless you already have a GTX570 sitting somewhere...a second GTX570 might be better if you want less power/heat on your computer.

570 SLI would be better imo. selling your gtx 480 would be harder but better on the long run. gtx 570's are just much better cards. my two 470's are toasty already I'd imagine how two 480's would be like. a 570 would be much cooler. that alone makes it a clear winner

Processing power is the point here, not heat, hence why 480's would do the job

awesome, thanks guys i wasn't gonna mix and match because thats not possible, however i seen some 570 on special at the moment so i thought i might sell my 480 and get 2 570 but if 2 480 are awesome than the second 480 it is; also its for a triple monitor setup which i will be setting up within weeks.

For the triple monitor setup the 480's are better! more vram

Gtx480s are awesome, the only complaint anyone could have if they have already good cooling in not heat but the fan noise, This is never an issue because I just turn the speakers up!

To answer your questions, Do go gtx480s in SLi, Amazing scaling. No game will run slow and prob the best setup on a budget for single screen gaming!
