So i just got my GTX 570 today! finally! =D my pocket is on fire i know but its worth it. I installed the drivers from nvidia and the win 7 aero effect worked fine. I restarted my pc and now they don't work. Says aero effect can not run or some stupid thing like that please help thanks.

Check your ForceWare driver version in GPU-Z and see what it comes up with. Are you sure you didn't just let Windows install its own drivers?

yea i installed nvidia 266.58 driver and aero effect didn't work. however i uninstalled the drivers for the card, installed the drivers that came with the cd, ran the windows assessment, and it works now. its weird. ill try using the update again and see if it does the issues again.

weird, i never had problems with 266.58, try a old version. though i dont have a gtx 570. what is the manufacturer? Nvidia own release?

EVGA's release. Nivida only has the 560 made so far. I bet in time they will have there own 570. idk why they just don't make it themselves in the first place.

Aero works fine on my computer. Any problems when gaming? Do you have any other graphics drivers on your computer?

try running the WEI tests again, maybe it will pop aero back on after
