i find it odd that you can boot with your old ones but not the opposite...
have you unplugged everything including usb devices...
hard drives
everything but your psu ram and cpu and video card...

Start from square one and of course reset your cmos...
includes taking the battery out just incase....

other than that its got to be internal

your in class right now its like 730 or 830 depending on what time of year it is...

sorry but phoenix doesnt have daylight savings for some reason

yes it's an agp pro card slot but the board is compatible with 8x/4x as well. I know becuase my card is a straight up 8x... not pro... worst case scenario I should get the same garbage with his card as mine and he should get stellar graphics out of mine... that was how we were testing to see what the broken part was. If he got the garbage it was my card... If I got garbage it was my mainboard.
