GTX 580 vs GTX 295 SLI - Page 6

Thread Starter
I live in Austria/Europe.
I really appreciate your oppinion you obviously know your way around gpus unlike simplythebest
But I have really given this matter a tremendous amount of thought and it is just much much cheaper, more powerfull and more lucrative to go for GTX 295 Quad SLI.
With new Drivers they won´t Micro Stutter or have problems with AA.
And the support arguement...any game that supports SLI automatically supports Quad SLI too

Please there is no rational or reasonable point of getting a 580 over this..
DX11 is the same as was with DX10...no noticable difference xD at least not to me
I have seen it with a AMD 9670 and it just looks like DX10 no difference.

Nonetheless i would much more like to get some ideas where to find a decent GTX 295 with a waterblock ...for 160€/221$...near Germany/Austria would be optimal but if their is no other way USA or UK will be fine too^^
Hope you can help me out here

Ah Österreich

Yes, well here in the Netherlands a second hand GTX 295 can be had for 175 euro without WB:

http://tweakers.net/aanbod/304544/ms...x-m2d1792.html

Aren't there any German, Schweizerische or Italian forum were you can buy such cards. Italy and Germany are your best shot shipping costs from France, Netherlands and Belgium would rape though.

EDIT:

You could even look around at this forum and shoot a PM at some Italian or German OCN'ers. Do keep in mind that you're not allowed to post in the FS section unless you have 35+ REP. That would make things very easy

I know what Im talking about as I had the gtx295. When people say it maxes out Crysis its just a plain lie. It does not have enough video memory to run maxed out so stop talking out of ur A**. These lies cause other people to believe them and buy outdated crap video cards when there are much better ones out there.

Avg 30 without AA. Add AA and the card sucks.

Nice results but as you can see my GTX 295 scores over 23.000 points and therefore beats your 480 and many others out there
The GTX 295 is still a great card.
I have attached the pic.

2151 core? Maybe you mistyped but I strongly doubt that
And if it is true that card won´t live very long^^
What is the point of paying three times the money I would for a 295 and having to overclock over the absolute max to see resutls that won´t even come close to a GTX 295 Quad SLI?

The MicroStuttering,Scaling arguement are a very old ones...nowadays with those drivers those problems will not appear.
And for the last time Quad SLI will always be compatible if a game supports normal SLI it is just plain logic

For the last time what you saying is not true because you are inexperienced and ignorant.
And for the last time , if you continue to use profanities and be learn resistant then please leave this thread because your nonsense does not contribute anything.
And just a reminder the cards in the vid are clocked to stock settings ...and score over 31.000
My GTX 295 with 712/1512/1215 scores over 23.000 ..combined with another 295 that will result in over 44.000 at least ...and no GTX 580 can even closely reach no matter how high it is overclocked

Edit: To bust your unbelievably stupid Crysis comment about the GTX 295 simplythebest

Check out my post #58 I edited it put added a new vid

First off all that is complete nonsense.
Always prove your sources don´t just write anything down.

Secondly DX11 is the same thing as DX10 no difference omg

03:27 the comparsion starts

And the little improvements that come with it are to marginal to even consider buying a GPU that costs three times the GTX 295.
Also no games will really benefit from it until Kepler...and that is where I will get a new GPU anyway

GTX 295 Quad SLI beats every card out there no matter how high they are overclocked.
