Mixing 2 Zotac's in SLi

Hi,

Just a quick question!

Do you think it is possible that a Zotac GTX 260 216SP card could be put in SLi with a Zotac GTX 260 192SP card....

The difference is not huge so I am just curious as to whether it would work well?

Thanks,

Should work, i wouldn't take my word for it though, not when moneys at stake

I've never tried it but some people said it should be okay.
But of course you got performance penalty because one GTX 260 only had 192 SPs. Performance should be similar with 2x GTX 260-192 in SLI.

You can SLI the 216 and 192 core models without any problem and you'll get decent performace out of it too

Right, next question now I have bought the second GTX 260...

My motherboard is capable of 3 way SLi.

The SLi bridge that came with the board is a 2 way sli bridge.

The GTX 260 has the connectors for 3 way SLI (i.e. 2 of the SLi tabs on each card)

Will the card operatate in 2 way SLi with the 2 way bridge even though the cards have the SLi tabs for 3 way Sli?

Does this make sense? I hope it does...?

the two-way SLi bridge will work just fine.
the three-way SLi bridge can also be used for two-way SLi.
