Forcing pc games to play at 1920x1200 resolution? - Page 2

Forget forcing it, how about a way I can play the 1600x1200 resolution game at full screen without black bars on the sides. confused.gif

I wish my remote had a zoom feature and my remore only allows for 4:3 and wide view on aspect ratio... Only two options to change my monitors aspect ratio which is lame! Stupid SyncMaster T260HD!

Possibly, if you can find a config file that contains the resolution. I did have a quick google to see if there is a fix, but couldn't really find much.

Or he could try adding the resolution parameters to the command line from the icon properties menu. Worked for a bunch of old games, such as pre patch 1.50 battlefield 2

No. If a game doesn't have a widescreen option, there's no way to force it short of some unofficial patch.

Yes there is. Plenty of ways. They aren't guaranteed to work though.

Go to nVidia control panel or CCC (forget whose card you had) and find scaling options. Choose something like scale to full panel size instead of the current option.

Can you take screenshots of where I'm suppose to go in the nVidia control panel, because this sounds very confusing to me. Thanks!

I do not currently own an nVidia card so that is impossible

You should be able to find that yourself. SCALING OPTIONS. Got it?

Of course the aspect ratio is off. That's what you get when you scale 4:3 to a 16:10 screen.

Nope, there is no way to win. Now you got a decision. Black bars, or overweight characters? lachen.gif

Its not that fat actually now that I look at it, but now I have the problem that this game is horrible playing with a mouse and keyboard. I can't believe I played this game with a mouse/keyboard before... Btw, its going to take a ridiculous amount of time remapping with xpadder which I'm horrible with.
