Not to troll, but Treyarch/Activision has killed the franchise. The only reason Im still playing it is I need something to FPS with until BF3 releases.

I cant believe PC still doesnt have the black ops map pack... what a slap in the face.

What I see happening is EA/Dice will bring back PC FPS gaming with BF3 and then next time round CrAptivision will be promising us the world trying to bring the FPS players back. Dont fall for it.

Blops is horrible. Its like being in an abusive relation. YOu want to love them, but its not good for you.

Wait, what? Treyarch killed it?

Anyway, yeah, CoD is starting to die, finally, hopefully we can all move on.

I wonder what will be next...

It was never a franchise, they got lucky with CoD4.

Activision killed it with the merger with Blizzard, Treyarch has always been the superior dev. CoD isn't the only good game under their belt.

CoD1, Bad.
CoD2, Worse.
CoD3, Really bad.
CoD4, Really good, pulled 99.9% of the CoD community in.
CoD5, Worse.
CoD6, Meh.
CoD7, Bad.

On topic, CoD will never be a subscription game. Activision have said this.

I enjoyed the first two CoD's, the 4th not as much, the 5th hardly, the 6th meh, and 7 though a good attempt, simply not for me, not to mention the screwed over the thing I do best which is sniping.

Luckily BC2 has plenty of that for me. I hope BC3 will feature it just as well if not better.

I hope you're an aggressive sniper in BFBC2...

I believe this is an old rumor that just keeps resurfacing.

If you have Blops or notice the multi-player loading screen in Blops, they had a comment in there (maybe still) that kind of seemed left field (if you never heard the rumor beforehand) to kill the rumor. Said something to the effect of," (Insert Population count)....and multi-player still free." Like I said, it may still be there, haven't played it in a while.

BUT, maybe in the future? Who knows...but doesn't affect me much. I won't pay for it and the love for the series has dwindled quite a bit for me to care any longer.

This was a made up rumor for black ops too...... Its BS..... COD is not a pay to play game and I don't think it ever will be. Theres not enough RPG elements to hold people in to a monthly subscription to it.
