Upgrade to GTX 570?

Pretty sure this has been asked before, but humor me... someone might have some good advice for me.

I have a GTX 470, it does the job right now. But with BF3 coming out, I'm thinking I need something a little more powerful.

Looking at some benchmarks of BC2, the GTX 570 gets ~15fps more than my GTX 470 @ 1900x1200 with everything maxed.

Is there something else coming anytime soon?

I figure I could still sell my 470 for ~$200 and pick up a 570 for ~$300-$325. So essentially a $100 upgrade. The longer I wait, the less my 470 is worth.

So what do you think?

well, i went from a gtx 470 to a gtx 570 and love it. Its quieter, and cooler and synthetic benchmarks tell me its a faster card

Did I need to upgrade? Absolutely not. Am I happy with it? Absolutely

ur computer looks solid. But the q6600 will bottleneck the GTX 570 atleast it did on my resolution (2560x1440).

Gtx 580 would be a bigger step - obviously ha! Would give you greater peace of mind with upcoming games like Crysis2 and Bf3 (i assume you mean Battlefield3???).

Thinking of selling my 570 (and a 460) and upgrading to 580 for future 1920x1080 gaming.

Q6660 might hold you back a 'little bit' though - just like my 955 does (ever so slightly).

Yea, I think my Q6600 already holds my 470 back. I have abnormally low benchmark results.

I'm also looking at upgrading my cpu, mobo and ram. It's been almost 4 years, it's time for a change.
