Subsequently, earlier detection will also greatly reduce the cost of cancer treatment, and, further, drive down healthcare costs. This device could singlehandedly resolve all current financial issues faced in healthcare.
+1

This is really a big step forward.

Certainly to own your own it will be more than $200. But the price will come down as time goes on and competitors come out with similar products.

I think the point is that it's far cheaper, quicker and more accurate than current technology.

Amazing. Now everytime you use your iPhone to scan your skin tissue you can also give yourself cancer while detecting it.

it might be only $200 to manufacture, but they have to charge more to recoup on overhead costs like reasearch time and investors who put money into the research, so in the end expect somewhere between $5000 to $100000 for purchasing and using it.

Except for the fact that cell phone radiation isn't ionizing...

If the radiation that communication devices put out was dangerous, we'd all be riddled with tumors, having been exposed to it 24/7 365 since even before we were born.

Of course they will have to recoup, but it wasn't developed by Pfizer or Microsoft or Sony, so don't expect things to be quite so expensive as you might guess.

The whole point is that it'll be far cheaper, far faster and far more accurate than current tech and methods.
