Thanks! Rep+ to you both.

I just quit right there because I thought it was just poorly coded and nothing to do about it. Then again, this was during the Christmas Holiday Sale and I had so many more games (which I actually knew were good) at awsome prices to play I just didn't care.

Maybe I'll give it another chance then. (Although the control system is not brilliant even so).

Cheers!

I don't understand why the devs never fixed it, as it was in DS1 as well... but, the fix is simple enough. Mouse look becomes fluid and accurate, and the menus don't freak out. The rest of the game is beautifully coded though

I've heard the controls argument quite a few times... I still don't get why people don't like 'em. The majority are on the mouse, with a few well-placed ones on the keyboard near WASD. I love 'em

+rep! I never would've thought of that... what an odd way to implement a patch... Although, the version in the file properties is still 1.0. I'm wondering if we're missing something; I'm playing up to the shop to see what this "weapon and armor pack" business is about.

Are you talking about the missing .dll? Someone up top posted the "fix," and I quoted it just above... it's not an actual patch, just a replacement for the .exe in the DS2 folder.

No. The hardcore bug was ridiculously easy to find and it's stupid that it got by the playtesters. It completely ruined my Hardcore game b/c I wasn't eligible for a handcannon b/c it couldn't count to 3 correctly.

As it is, only the mouse issue needed fixing because the suits/guns/hardcore has already been *fixed* via a savegame on the steam forums.
