New member here.

Thought about building my first computer and just in time for The Witcher 2 . I'd like the opinions of the members here before I start buying parts.

Socket on the board doesn't match your CPU.


Your buying a LGA 1366 X58 board and your CPU has 1156 pins.

You need a Core i7 900 series CPU (i7-930 recommended) for it to fit/work. I think the 930 is roughly the same price.

Also I would look into a more quality PSU. I'm not sure about yours, but there are users in this forum who know ALOT about PSUs.......like that guy with the old man giving a thumbs up for an avatar? Ya ok hope I helped, cheers .

I would go with the Msi GTX 460 hawk, the cooling is better and i hear they OC better. ( cheaper also marginally) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-518-_-Product


30 GB ssd might be disappointing, they had the 90 GB one on sale this week for 105$, I would wait on a deal and skip it for now. 30GB will be full with the OS and maybe a game or two.
