Another Headphone+ Sound Card Thread

Hello,
I'm in the market for a new Headset/Headphones and Sound Card. Used for Gaming, Movies, and Music the usual really, Looking for good high quality Audiophile, hi-fi, sound, bass.

Budget 300-350 (im willing to go over for Quality) for a sound card and headphones/headset
Please dont suggest Razer or Logitech type products ive used most headsets out there to say the least havent been very happy with what ive paid for. Closed Audio would be best, NO USB Connectors.

Ive been looking at Audio Technica, and M-Audio.

This is for my upcomming Rebuild of my HAF so i wont be rushing out and buying something cheap tonight.

Give me some of your Oppinon's on some hardware you have used/using.

Thnx for your time.

If you're not looking to spend a ridiculous amount on headphones, but you want decent quality at the same time, I picked up my Sennheiser 280s for $82 on eBay. Great headphones. Bass to me is perfect, not too much but not too little at the same time. Mids & highs as well are very nice.

I mix electronic music, primarily Dubstep and in a loud environment the headphones pretty much block out all outside sound, so all I hear is the music I'm mixing.

Are you opposed to all external connections or just USB?

I'm partial to the only pair I've ever owned: Sennheiser HD 555's. I use an EMU-0202 for my DAC, and I'm happy with it all things considered. $200 altogether.

An sennheiser hd555 or hd595 (or beyer 770/990) and xonar stx are popular choices around your price range
