i like closed headphones and its what ill be using 90% of the time but i also like to blow the screens of my window's with my speakers

i could get a ST and get the 7.1 upgrade for it but that seems counterproductive buying a sound card and having to get another just to be able to use your speakers with some quality sound

ATH-A700 + Xonar STX

are the Creative Labs any good? the Fatality, Champion, Titanium?

Or you can get a usd dac/amp combo for 350 and then spend another 200 on a good headphone.

FPS Gaming for extended periods of time, Mostly electronic music, Dubstep, House, Trance , the usual suspects really.
And a lot of High Def/ Blu - Ray Movies

Get yourself a set of ATH-M50s, and a Xonar STX. Spend the rest on a video card or HDD upgrade.

EDIT: Dammit, what's with me and getting ninja'd today?!?

You, sir are one lucky man. I wish I had that much to spend. If your budget is really that high, you shouldn't be afraid to head over to the good guys over at Head-Fi. They'll set you up with a great system. Or you can just listen to chinesekiwi, our resident expert on audio.
