Just built pc with MSA89TD Pro - what BIOS settingsd should I immediately change?

Thread Starter
Anyone with this board have any experience with this? I am sure there arfe some settings that I need to change asap before I actually get into the OCing.

For instance, I am guessing in the Advanced Menu, under CPU configuration, I should disable Cool 'n' Quiet?

Or since I have an H70 H2O CPU cooler does that setting even matter?

Any tips (not really overclocking tips though - I want to learn all that as I go and after I have done much more research) would be greatly appreciated.

the ram

other than that try to use as less as possible but stable voltage CPU

^^^
this all if you want to maximize your overclock and minimize your tempratures and maximize cpu life.

well disable it if you want to overclock.
and if your done with overclocking you (can) turn it back on.

One other quick question, Is ASUS Core Unclocker what I need to enable to turn on my other two cores in my phenom ii x6? I do not like having to flip a switch on the mobo for something you can do in the BIOS!

Sorry, by the RAM are you saying I should change the DRAM Frequency? I don't have enough experience to understand what you are referring to exactly, my apologies.

Are you sure? I am certain I read that I need to turn on the core unlocker or something like that to access my other 2 cores in my 6 core CPU. I probably misunderstood what I read, but I would like some verification from someone on this answer

I just looked into the BIOS again and there is a CPU Core Activation option that lets you enable/disable any of the cores. Cores 5 and 6 are indeed unlocked.
My apologies for doubting
