Some states in the US have 300.00 littering fines.

I was thinking about going to uni there for a while, but their courses differ a fair bit, and the cost of colleges and flights is pretty expensive. Cheaper to just stay in toowoomba

Most people seem to be frightened of more unrestrictive gun laws (note the more, not unrestrictive), I think they just need to be handled differently. I did an assignment on gun laws a while ago and simply having a test from a physiologist when going for your gun license (and having another one every 5 years or so) to make sure you are stable would be the best bet(as well as the usual background checks and such). Restricting what you can buy isn't as smart as it sounds, in fact it can make things worse (people turn to illegal arms which fund other illegal activities). I've been shooting since I was young and its a very fun sport, and should be supported by our government, not hindered as it has been time and time again (not asking for assault rifles, only civilian semi-autos, semi automatic pistols preferably being able to use in self defence situations and semi-auto and pump action shotguns ).

I went a bit overboard with the gun laws stuff but I'm a bit passionate about it you see, maybe I should move to NZ
Haha it's quite alright. It's good to see someone passionate about it and that you don't want assault rifles because I'm the same I don't mind if you have a semi-automatic weapon as long as it isn't full auto, and are using it on a farm, or for a sport or a collector I don't mind. My Uncle has a farm in the midlands of Tasmania and he requires a gun as well and I have fired it myself and nothing quite equates to the sensation of firing a weapon.

I agree with you on a lot of points it's just that the one problem I have with guns in general is that people always find a way to get their hands on one, and sometimes they can be a bit unstable. Once they have the system down with stopping illegal trafficing of weapons I'll be happy but that will never be the case. There are some unstable individuals around Glenorchy (Known as the heavy bogan area of the south of tassie ) and they have somehow gotten access to these weapons and I have to becareful to look out for my family around those areas. For instance I don't let my niece go out to a friend's house out there without me a little over protective? Maybe but my niece loves it and so does my sister.

EDIT

I wasn't sure what you were talking about, like a full weapon ban or just full-autos. Good to see you agree. The problem I think is that the public can't tell the difference between civilian rifles and military rifles. Another thing, our army is throwing out a large number of Austeyrs while their awaiting the A3's. If our laws were to change it would be quite easy for them to be converted to semi-autos and sold on the civilian market(destroying them is a waste, those rifles are awesome to shoot ).

You can say that again

EDIT: Sorry it's a bit late I've been up since 6:00 a.m. Yeah I did military training a while back and those AUG are really fun to shoot (you get bored during uni and you go off and do some training I thought every one did that? )

Anyway Good talking to you I'm crashing

I got 4 hours sleep last night so I should be fast asleep already

I'm going to do it in 3 months for the reserves, get a bit of money up and hopefully cover the uni fees. By the sound of there aren't many people doing it though, australians must be turning into hipsters

I think I'll go to bed now too, I darned well need it

One, you completely missed the sarcasm in the guys post and why he referred to piracy. Two, I fail to see how you can state your little USA thing and not expect others to think it was a ****ty thing to say.

For the record I like Australia and for the most part all of it's people I've ever had contact with were awesome. You however not so much

Oh no one be offended by this post. Since I said no one be offended I assume my post is ok now right?!
Opps, i meant the first comment.

However the second, i thought, was a sure fire sign of sarcasim.

They are two totally contradicting statements.

Hahaha, my mistake i'll include a "/s" next time

Gotta say that as far as justifications for piracy go, "the game is banned in my country" has gotta be right up at the top.
