and make annoying loading zones every 5 minutes that switch back to your desktop and take 30 seconds.

Nothing wrong with having third person for games like this,as long as the camera angle is position in the centre it will be pretty sweet!Splinter cell and assasin's creed had great 3rd person view.

First person made the thief series more challenging and fun. You can't peer around a corner without actually peering around the corner.
