New Phenom II 560 Unlocked Build

Thread Starter
So, this is my first fully custom build. Mainly for gaming.

I just got a Phenom II x2 560 (planning to unlock it to a x4 and OC) with an Asus 880G mobo for $190 with tax ($16 tax at the store>.<). $180 after MIR. I thought it was a good deal (considering I'm only going to use one GPU in the board). Please correct me if I'm wrong so I can exchange it.

Still deciding on what 4gb's of RAM to get.
It'll be a few weeks before I can afford a decent video card (GTX460 or better).
Other than that, the rest of the rig is what's in my sig. My new XXX 650w

Currently I'm looking for suggestions on RAM, a CPU heatsink, and wondering if anyone here has used the Asus overclocking and core unlocking tools - if they're worth using or avoiding.
Also, I haven't opened the CPU or mobo up yet, (waiting until I get the RAM), so I can still swap out the CPU/mobo for a different combo.

Can't wait to get it running. Hopefully Newegg has some good deals this weekend.

I would suggest the Gskill Ripjaws. A 2x2GB DDR3-1600 set is $50 on the egg.

You're probably aware of this, but you do know that unlocking isn't a guarantee right? Not to burst your bubble, looks like a great build none the less have fun with it.

Why would that ASRock be better than this Asus?

New question:
Would any of the boards on this page be better than the 880G I got (these are the boards I could swap for)? For running just 1 GPU, and running a quad-core (hopefully. I guess a 50% chance on that working)

Neo, look up the MoBo in my sig. It's $90ish, it has ACC which makes overclocking and unlocking ridonculously easy. It does however have only one PCIe slot. I'll have a 6950 2GB in it within Thursday. And my 555 unlocked without issues, so you may be as lucky as I was! Also, get an aftermarket heatsink if you plan on running the 560 @ quad because it will run hotter and you won't be able to monitor temps. I have a Coolermaster Hyper N520. Get either that or a Hyper 212+

EDIT:
We may just have pretty much the same rig, since we have the same case. Is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...pk=hec%20blitz what you have?

Yeah lol. I grabbed that case when it was $35 no MIR/free shipping from newegg.
Thanks for the cooler suggestions. I'm definitely going to get an aftermarket heatsink when I attempt to unlock it. I just don't know much about quality heatsinks yet so I need the suggestions
