Well, I would think it's going to push down prices of Gold rated PSUs since there is a new tier. Unless of course they just price it absurdly high like the i7x which would be pointless. But what you have to realize is in this business a lot of stuff is already possible, what's holding them back is getting the manufacturing costs down low enough that it can be accessible to the most consumers and be competitive in the market. JF-AMD said something along the lines of (read paraphrase) "You want a process twice as fast as anything Intel has? We can do that. You can't afford it."
