@Gore nice @3.5ghz

But how can u put cpu vtt on 1.25.
I only have 2 options. (AUTO) (1.2V) (1.3V)

Me = jealous on your chips

Hello Prescotter..........

I have .....plus and minus keys that up it point by point........or minus.....

So I can select what I want.....think it goes to 1.4000 highest and 1.2000 lowest .........I can choose anything in-between. I just bumbed it another notch to 1.2650..........vtt.............

I might try the 1.3000 that is what Ive read for my chip...Ive not blown up yet....

Could it be that the supplied settings, are cpu dependent?

Or are you telling me a normall version of the mobo has more settings than a pro? :|

Hey Pre` gore is cheating
I haven`t tried the key but it shouldn`t make a difference. Like i wrote i got 1,2v and 1,3v not that uber-imba thing gore gotz. ??? pro isn`t so pro but with this mobo it makes sense cause good = bad and 1+1=3,71
And ys it could be CPU dependent, but you CPU and mine got the same 1,2/3v thing...

Gore lets get it started, even though i got nomood to explain this :
(forgive me typos)
1.This vtt is to measure against to determine other voltages.
If you got a "better" reference voltage the resukt of the measure will be more accurate. Thats why it is possible that 1,x volt give you a "better" result than 1,y volt. So the OC you can achieve get "better" cause you got an more accurate vcore and what_not...
//-------------------------------------------
2. I dont get it, these are mine:
http://img200.imageshack.us/i/maxxmemer.jpg/
Your MHz @RAM are higher your timings tighter but my bandwith is funkyer.
I`m no RAM guru-these setting were found by trial and that other thing.
Just very strange that your RAM isn`t owning mine
//------------------------------
3. Nice 3,5ish!

Have fun lads and cya!

I know its a reference voltage......I posted my little research blerp a page back.

Point is that it did help me achieve a higher clock @ a lower voltage.......which is fantastic........less heat and chip derogation.....so the vtt in my case helped alot........

I looked at the ram situation......Ive got no sub timings and have even gone to the gskill site............ I only bought this ram as OCZ was sold out at Newegg.ca so this was the alternative......I would recommend it as great stock running ram...but leaves a little to be desired when over clocking.......I think Kingston is a fair equal too mine......next time....I will look for tightest timings and low voltage...really depends ......on mobo as you know....

So your in no mood...........

Nor am I after another P5P day of testing...but got the results.....

Vtt 1.3000 and vcore voltage is 1.376v a bit over the 1.368 but Idle @ 37c I do see the vcore fluctuate 1.368v---1.376 never higher or lower so I think Im safe....I see on other sites folks going higher......chasing their Oc....higher...

I worked on the ram.....still need to bugger around with some subs.......but here is the pic,,,,,,also should I have memory remap on or off>>????

Now I like Pre......wish the fsb wall was just 10-20 higher........but I never wanted to go even this far ......3.2 3.4 was may goal.......so no complaints...here........Other than Mr.Eiht is in no mood........

Hey gore!
NICE result of your RAM work. Now we are talking!
This is what your RAM-bench shoud look. GJ sir!
I`m glad that at lease one got a high bandwith.
I really hope you`ve tested stablity. I was @ that point i just looked @maxxmem pushed, pulled and kicked the timings around.
I got the copy speed over 10GB/s then i realised that i didn`t even test for stability--epic fail--Now i`m back to the timing shown and discussed but stable.
The memory remapping is just for 4GB+! If you have more than 4GB, then you would have a 64bit OS and should use the remapping. I got more the mobo turned it automaticly (Yes, that is right the mobo did someting usefull ON ITS OWN)
Plz gore don`t take my complaining serious
Regards Eihtzter
Edit : You got these 1333ish ripjaws (like mine). And you reached @800MHz+ with them??
That is wicked sir! I struggled like crazy no success

Ok i understand about the cpu vtt. But if its just a reference voltage against a other one, based of vcore? Wouldnt there not be a change, because of my high vcore i wil mellt something else?

But enough fur the current memory tuning, im upping my vcore to 1.5v and trying higher speed. I have enough. I loved my q6600 for long time. Now its time he gives me some love.

I if it blows up, then let it be. (To keep it happy ill blowe in some good smoke in the intake fans every now and then )

I just looked on the internet, and like ''standard'' store pc are always low mem speed/ low timings. I found a topic on the internet, saying they score like 5000/5500mb mem speed with q6600 .....

btw.. im now the only one still with ****ed mem.. getting jealous

@ Mr.Eiht and Prescotter.................................

If I told you that Ive booted successfully and stable @ 3.2 (not a big OC..)

1600mhz setting.......YES guys 1600mhz @3.2G just the Ram Freq setting in the bios.....where 1600mhz ,,,,,,,,,, 1800mhz settings appear.....where we usually back down to 1200mhz then start oc`ing.....not anymore......

I want you guys to give me a rep vote.............

That is if your interested

Hear is the Pic and stable.......man this board is a wonderland........
I was in the bios all day and night.....playing......its not fully at its best but in the 11th hour....it worked.....and with prime......stable...stable...stable.
We have a new starting point guys......took all day all night.....she finally embrace it......1600mhz direct select from Ram Freq........

Nice on the 1600mhz ram !!! (maybe you can boot 1700mhz, i could, but too much errors)

But cpu on 3.5ghz with 1400mhz ram what you first had, is much faster then 3.2ghz with 1600mhz ram...

I know Prescotter.......but the hours of effort......Ive never seen it boot successfully into windows just set @ 1600mhz from the bios selection.....I will try again today.....but I was up last night really late buggering with settings...

If I can get a higher Oc...with a start point @ 1600mhz then start to Oc.....I wonder if we bought 1600mhz ram.........then Oc it to 1800mhz if thats even possible..??? Just a thought......

But like the board has printed on it...OC 1600mhz.....yes you can........
First Ive seen it go to 1600mhz.....just choosing the setting in the bios....and tweaking....it............

I will play some more today......

Ive got to pull another fan out....damn....leaves me with one 2600rpm and the CPU fan....I figured they would all go roughly at the same time..........all my 80mm are craping out......but it is time.......for new replacements........Im looking for the sales......but need to act soon.....as just a CPU HS/Fan wont cut it.........even with a big back case fan......

I will get back to you.......folks..........off comes the side panel again...
