@turrican9, i've done it all now. With no result

All that happens, is that sometimes you see some fans spin up,
but otter then that, its just a dead piece a s.h.i.t.e.

@mr Eiht.
I cant remember clearly. But i beleave i was running 9x435@3912mhz, ram 1200ish or something
with a vcore of something around 1.62v idle or bios (cant remember exect vcore)

It was like i woke up, powered on my pc and. OHH NOOO i even forgot i destroyed it the night before... :S

@Eiht still, i think i will bake the motherboard, it could be something gave up under high stress.
But i beleave i killed my q6600.... i geuss it will be a nice keychain/paper weight.
but woudnt that melt the plastic pieces on mobo when baking??? or do i need to strip all plastics off?

Usually motherboards are at fault and not the CPU. Even with that V-core. Your motherboard has 12-phase power circuitry, but not a 8 Pin power CPU connector. And with that CPU at that V-core and speed, 4-pin simply does not deliver enough current. So you've probably burned your motherboard.

Test CPU in other motherboard to find out. Or if you have another 775 CPU test it in your board.

Simple as that

ppl plz, lets stop hatin on my smoking and provide with support about ma PC
(Enough stuff on my head at the moment)

@Gore
If i where you id wait for Ive Bridge ??(Atleast the next series coming @ Sandy Bridge)
Even you current ram, would reach atleast 2x as fast read/write speeds on both Sandy/Ivy.
+ Copper rads are look nice !! and for that price

Currently im taking de-mounting my cpu cooler to look @ the cpu,
And taking a very close look @ all mobo parts/vrm, I might see something scorched.

btw, atleast this might be going back to work...

Gore nothing to be sorry about
Still fighting side by side.
And @Mr.PRE` PLZ open a new thread here or in mobo section or search (if you got the nerves, which i doubt) how to bake.
Honestly my father had a store and reaired EVERYTHING man made electronic i mean EVERYTHING, even PSU`s and all.
He loled (and rofled)@ me when i told him about baking. Said the temp of melting solder
was much higher than what the plastic could take.
It has worked for some guys---you can`t use it anyway---so this is the last stand you make to get it back2life. It`s dead anyway so "you are my last hope obi wan bakobie!"
I wish you good luck and ... crossd fingers ...
Edit: i allready told you: NEVER GIVE UP!
Edit: Gore what you want with a p67ish?

ill report back soon. im still thinkin what do do.
I have to search my AS5 to mount the cpu heatsink back on if i want to try to restart it

Pesscott

Just a suggestion....find a cheap E series Duo....in your area..if it is the chip.......trying to think of a easy cheap way out for now.......

and a update..from you .... .... ....any progress? (keep us posted)
Thanks for chiming in about the sabertooth mobo.....I was going to wait for a sale anyways.......never pay full price...never never ever....but I will keep looking...but what a wild looking mobo......

Mr.Eiht....There was a small fire seen today in Holland....sparked by a q6600
a full investigation is under way.....a search for the party or parties involved is to under way....if caught....a new Mobo or CPU...will be bought....by the culprit.

Sorry Pre had to do it....

Hey gore! Thx, saw about this fire on the news
About the tooth, you need a 1155ish chip for that ?! If I go there i`ll spend 1000$ just for the mobo 16x16xPCI-E 3.0 with 3000MHz RAM support and all that stuff... No seriously if you go that route make shure you get a wicked board.
High PRE`. It could be that your PSU is mashed! "Could"! But not from the load you put on it with that CPU. The 6950 is a beast. That would be the main resource fro an overload of your PSU not the small chip with ~1,6v or what you applied.
But since this would be my part of choise to be broken (this will cause the smallest amout of suffering for you) i hope it wrecked. Everything else is fine, just a glitch in the matrix, GG!
Best wishes to both of you!
Gore? Canada? So you go every 2-3 weeks bear-hunting?
