In my bios under AI Tweaker there is a setting for Auto PSI enable/disable.

Not to throw another setting at ya but its there.......

Like Ive said Ive googled but just get folks asking the same question...
what is it??????

Mobo Asus p5p43td/usb3

Latest bios which came with this board...no update needed for me anyway.

Auto PSI.......Per Square Inch....maybe it expands and contracts Ha Ha wheee.gif

Dont get me wrong I like the Mobo, I think its just a question of reading and conversing with others and all will fall into place, and if that does not work then I can PSI.........Pretty Serious Instruction them.....all fun aside I have not the slightest Idea.......what it is...........Mr.Eiht.......

This board just gets better and better.......it really does....
Auto PSI ---- Pretty Sure Its ?????????????????????????????????????

Please Post some settings......I do wish to get some of this ripjaw up to snuff

Wish I could post a quick snap of the PSI thing.........

Thank You

Gore......

So here you go with the setting. Like i wrote with this settings is 441FSB possible (for me with this setup)
http://img291.imageshack.us/i/cpusettings.jpg/
http://img51.imageshack.us/i/firstfc.jpg/
http://img121.imageshack.us/i/secondlu.jpg/
http://img820.imageshack.us/i/threew.jpg/
http://img823.imageshack.us/i/ramdu.jpg/
The RAM is @1456 like you can see here, even BIOS said 1311.
Hope this helps you!
Have fun trying these out and happy BSODing tongue.gif
I found that:
"VCore Auto PSI: Enable / Disable
Enabling for support PWM Power State Indicator, lower power runs on 2 phases, middle power runs on
5 phases, fully power runs on 6 phases." This is from DFI. LOL. Asus doesn`t know what this does smile.gif

Hi Prescotter
Hi Mr.Eiht

Thanks for the Post Mr.Eiht, I will be trying a few things........wink.gif
Ive got the chip up to 3.5.......................eek.gif

Max on start up core1 55c.... rolleyes.gif ....Idle 44c not bad on air.....cheers.gif
I only wanted to get to 3.4 but Im sure I can go to 3.6 with a few more volts.
I will see about the ram.......thanks for the fantastic pic`s............
Your cpu is one up on me as I cant go 8.5 only to 8 so it seems.....
As soon as I have some time alone I will certainly be making use of some of your settings...or at least trying some out.........

Im a happy man and although is a little funky Mobo wise I am loving it....I now see it goes and quiet well in my humble opinion....

Seeing I paid next to nothing for the mobo..new heck the ram costed me more to tell the truth and would recommend it to anyone.........I will get back to you all with some results soon......3.5 god I like this Mobo....

Cheers

Gore

Hey guys,

i can also boot in windows with 440fsb and 1400/1600 somewhat ram.
(with entering ram timing manually/XMP profile + 105mhz pci-ex)
But it has hard memory errors in windows resource tool.
Plus it crashes with Prime95..

So im back to 9x378 with 1260 6-6-6-16 ram

Same here crashes with prime95????????????????????????

I got up to 3.53 odd freeze and cant go any-more volts to the cpu heck im on air so I backed down to 3.4 which if you remember Prescotter I originally wanted to just get it to 3.2 to be happy....well 3.4 is a fantastic stable result for me but you should get more out of your chip.......you got head room and a endless multiplier......lucky you......watch those temps....mine slowly were creeping up... Your quad I bet with the correct setting will go 3.8 something as you have the chip capable of that......just this funky mobo......fun fun fun but keep posting I check daily to see you folks and results.....neat mobo but is sure wants its settings particular............

I still have not had time to try Mr.Eiht settings well not all of them.....I will see if I can get the ram thing going its just the time.........Id luv to see the 1400/1600 setting appear.........I tinkered with cpu voltage today and fsb 3.52 unstable was the grand result. I had 1.405 v to the chip it ran hot and unstable, freeze and startup issues......then the family day started....like I said before time....2 hours on my own to sort this out would be nice......

Keep us posted Prescotter...........get 3.7
3.8 (you will) smile.gif

Nice i`m glad to hear that. I`m also glad that i can help!
The thing is overclocking is about playing around with setting.
If you got a mobo with guide like "change this from x to y and you are finished..." where is the fun? */ forget that...
You wrote it crashes, BSOD or what did it do, how about the temps, what did you test the RAM or CPU (Blend test small FFTs or what?).
And everybody says leave the RAM oc the CPU and then the RAM if you CPU is stable. so please one step @ a time...

Hey guys,

I downclocked my cpu to 2.8ghz. With high vcore so its super stable.
Even when i enter ram timing mannually, also the sub timings.

I put them on 10-10-10-30(very bad timings) with 1500mhz. With 1.65v to 1.70v.
It still crashes. I Geuss it just wont work good, my mem and the motherboard.

No matter what timings/voltage If the fsb is past 410 i just keep gettings small errors.

@Gore, if you put the FSB @ 440. And FSB STRAP @ 400.
The ram multiplier shows like 1200mhz, but its really @ 1400mhz...

Wich is the speed of FSB STRAP @ 200mhz...... I geuss i just leave my ram @ 1260 6-6-6-16.
And try to OC my CPU more.. Its just limited by temp (vcore high)

edit:

Been trying all afternoon... And i smoked some joints + drinked a couple a beers.... Now im just in the mood, to take of the side cover of my pc case. And PISS ON MA PC !!!!!

Hi folks

It is working........So far.............smil3dbd4e4c2e742.gif

http://img857.imageshack.us/i/zowee.png/
http://img340.imageshack.us/i/zowee2.png/

Im not to happy with the temps either......
I will be backing it down to 4.45 or so.......
I cant get it to work with the pci-e @ 1.5 it simply wont boot...no screen nothing...but Ive got it going quick and snappy, in my view a humble OC....
I wish I could find the sub timings for my ram.......

Prescotter........ I had to go little by little with the fsb started @ 333mhz and up it 4 or 5 points then let windows load......and restart.....then 4 or 5 more fsb notches......slowly uping the fsb.......if I tried 440fsb of the get go it would bsod..........increments small increments did it for me....not a slam at 440 and high volts.......that was the trick..........for me anyway.....a pain in the butt.........it worked....I`m very pleased with the board and the chip although I just want 3.4 ish as my freakin temps now are 50c on Idle and need water cooling to go further.....but Im far to lazy for that, heck if I refuse to water plants I`m sure not going to water my computer.....

Any input is always appreciated.......

Prescotter stop smoking the dope and get 3.7 out of your chip.....headscratch.gif
