Hehehe,

Its just, my q6600 need more vcore then your chip.
Currently idle=1.456v and load=1.368 (insane vdroop)

The maximum temprature i reach is 69c (only in Intel burn test)

I Just gave up on the ram. What i tried;
- different fsb
- different fsb-strap
- different ram speed
- multiple mamual ram timings, xmp memory profile
- high memory voltage

It just isnt 100% stable.. It could be my cpu needs more vcore for that high fsb.
Standard fsb = 266.

Even when it whas running with low ammount of memory errors in windows recource manager. The memory bandwith was only 5% higher then lower speed with better timings

So im now foccusing on buying a better cpu cooler. And pushing 1.5 to 1.55v in ma chip. I really hope i could ever reach 3.6+ghz with reasonable tempratures.

For now, like i said i keep it @ 3.4ghz @ 9x378. @ 1260mhz 6-6-6-16 p00ntang settings

That chip according to what ive read is easily capable of 3.6 -- 3.7 ish....
A number of web sites I visited show it.... especially that chip.....but in my previous posts....watch your temps they creep up.....

Like you said.... more volts but...=.... higher temps....Im not hitting 60c even at 3.5 ish.......but its a lower wattage chip 95watts not sure what yours is....???
So your right a nice new HS and fan are in order......y not water cool......and you can water your plants and computer at the same time...........

If I can run 3.5....pics in previous post...you should easily get to 3.6 with no issues..........other than heat.......with a q6600...........

Netherlands.......Im half Dutch to.......funny who you meet.....and where the heck is Mr.Eiht???????????????

I hope he would look at the pics I did...show he is a help and maybe some further input.........

Have fun Prescotter shopping for a new Hs/Fan.....
Let us know what you get......????

All the best....May we all live for as long as we want and never want for as long as we live...

@Gore,

You could better watch out, because i geuss you cpu wont last for years.
Intel says 0.8500V-1.3625V for you chip.. I geuss if you go higher you might have serious cpu degredation....

And i've read online, if you leave PCI Express on auto,
and set fsb above 430+ the pci express mhz rises too. So there is a small change of corrupt files on hard drives. And, you could try going higher, if you up the pci express buss, but the risk of loosing files is high

Hi i`m here and alive!
Just played yesterday (even that i know it wont work) with the FSB again.
No matter what you do no chance to go above 441MHz and trust me i tried EVERY SETTING and 99% of the combinations!
Please gore go to the top of the page where it says User CP and fill out the specs of your system.
And also gore: Keep the FSB@437-438MHz after that it`s running but it`s unstable. I found that for a 24/7 setup 437 is max. Running some superpi on 441Mhz is possible but not for 24/7ish.
The PCI-E @105MHz is RANDOM with this board maybe with your setup it`s 104 or 106 or something. Anything(!) except 105 for me wouldn`t boot.
We got to work really hard on your temps. So we (OCN) needs infos what cooler you got, thermal paste, the cooling of your case.
I`ve got a quad as you can see in my specs and i think 1time after running IBT forever i`ve reached 61° (on air).
First thing that you could do ---> clean your cooler. Even a small amount of dust is bad...
And one last thing gore you are from netherland and tell people to stop smoking weed???

Hey ppl,

@Gore
Are you still using the CPU VTT Voltage and to what did you set it?
btw nice oc!

@Mr. Eiht
I will try the PCI Ex @ 104Mhz or different. Becuase i only used 105Mhz.
Me thinks i will give it one more try to get some extra memory speed.
And soon i will also clean my cpu cooler. Its just i NEED MOAH POWAH but the temps are gettings higher then i would like for 24/7 use. + The idea of 1.5v+ on ma lil Q6600 still creeps me out a little bit.

@Both

Your chips are faster @ clock for clock.
With some games my Unlocked HD6950 only uses 80% of the gpu.
Even with ATI Powerplay @ +20%,
Soon i will also get a better cooler, and overclock this mothafocka...

Yeah that just a random number that wirked gorme, i was up to 115MHz (which didnt work) but then i realized that i didnt try 105ish.(first it was on [auto]so it worked but i wantedd to figure out @ which value its set from auto)
I may have overread it : What are the specs for your RAM is it 1600?
It should be possible to run it, but i`ve read that some people have problems with this board and 1600er. "Moah Powah" nice, but when you CPU is fried you got no powah. Keep in mind that 441 is the absolute limit and it`s very unstable, so no 24/7-thing. And plz i don`t know if it`s against the rules but don`t use curse-words!

@ the no curse words.
Ill try my best, its just on the box it says 1600(OC).. So why it keeps !#$%^ with me i dont understand.

these are my ram specs:

and the speed they are now:

And i still gotta try the high fsb + pci ex combo

and you could set the pci ex on auto, and check with aida64 what the speed is at.

btw thx for all the tips, looks like the p5p43td users are very helpfull hehe

Hi Ya

I posted system Mr.Eiht......

I have backed down to a Oc of 3.2
Temp Idle is 43-44c highest is 51-52 under aida stability test....1.269volts which is very low volts....

Ive reseated the V8 cooler twice using Arctic Silver...
I don` think the temps are in a alarming range a it is Oc`ed to 3.2 Ive seen worse out there posted....at stock 2.66.
It is my opinion that its partally the Masker case....not made for the over clocker...but to look good...which it does....

120mm superred on the back of case
3000 rpm adda in the front
3000 rpm adda on the lower side of the case
V8 cool master on the chip.

Zephryus speed fan controller manually adjustable on the 3000rpm lower side and on the superred 120mm back........

I dont know what else I can do other than water and I never will do water...

You are so right about the 441fsb after that it a paper weight......board restriction?????

I cant use the upper side fan hole on the side of the case as the V8 coolmaster is to tall and takes up the space..........I may buy a usb flexable fan and see how close inside the case I can get the head of it to the cpu right by the heat pipes... I can see that making a slight difference......I just got the fan controller going on only 2 fans as listed above.....

43-44c idle and 51-52c peek I think in great @ 3.2 oc and low volts....stable and quick enough for me.....

Has Prescotter gotten 3.6 yet or is he to busy watering plants.....

Get back to me folks.....Ideas>>>>

@Gore,

I test max fsb too with low mem speed. And my max fsb is 440. Its just the limit of the chipset.

And are you using the CPU VTT Voltage?

And make sure you are also Intel Burn Test stable... aida64 stresstest aint stressing nothing! Just to make sure its 100% stable.
