I played around with the bios........figured on doing a complete reset......battery out and clear rtc........oooooooooooo what fun.....

back to stock.........

Got it to 3.417 what I wanted......(gentle OC)
Only thing I did different was set to STRONG...ram not Light
restarted......fine then rebooted and set the pci-e and thought here we go again....but it booted.....I will type that again IT BOOTED @105 PCI-Enock me over with a feather..........!

So some more success

I also Mr.Eiht have a setting for ya.......AI Transaction Booster auto/manual

put it on manual I get another 5 settings.....one 1-32 the rest are ram channels 1a 1b 2a 2b or something like that...... but their there.........

I get one thing working and BANG.... another setting............nothing in the manual either.

Get back to me ..... Im a googling it right now...like that will help, its all chines to me....

@gore, nice to see u reached higher OC.
And about that AI Transaction Booster auto/manual, i have no idea too.

But in my post, i geuss you guys didnt understand me
Each ram speed also has a list of sub timings, they differ at each speed.
I think you misunderstanding me?

Because in Aida64 in clearly states that it has different subtimings, at each speed.

and edit, maybe issues are caused my different things then @ you or other people

Shure they are diffrent for each MHz but again these are not the subs you are running,
these are from JEDEC standarts. I posted my subs. Pre` no matter what X.M.P profile you got: Find the highest O.C. you can run (in regards of the temps). FSB max for the sake of stability 437 Mhz. Then strap FSB 2 NB @400. Choose the RAM speed @13xx MHz.Then take my timings. Start maxxmem2, run bench without crap in background(check the taskmanager) and plz post you results! I`m sure they will be better than what you got before. The highest benefit comes from the higher CPU frequency so the RAM should be O.C. in regard of the CPU. Don`t run a lower O.C. just to run a higher RAM overclock.
And gore i know the tricks of the trade Transaction booster didn`t help me to go higher then 441MHz, didn`t make a difference with the RAM and didn`t yield better results in bechmarks. But if you find something usefull it does let us know ...
Cheers lads!

And i thought my brains are bad cuz them smoking hehe

This my specs now:
FSB: 425mhz (Puts Cpu @ 3.4ghz)
NB to FSB Strap: 400mhz
PCI-Ex: 104mhz. (Only bootable@101,103,104)
Memory: 1416mhz @ 9-9-9-24 (cl-trcd-trp-tras),
Bios says ''subtimings" (all the other timings you can enter) are on 533mhz speed, acccording to Aida64. if i compare the actual to whats needed @ 1600mhz XMP Profile)
The XMP Profile Doesn't Work for sh#t No Matter what settings i use.

And currently i get 1 or 2 "hard memory errors in windows recource monitor.
All though im 15runs IBT stable + 5hours blend stable

And i geuss if i work mem speed up, i would only get more errors

Same here @ 105.....pci-e cold boot issues.....today....

Ive read your post Prescotter.......so set it to 104....we will see if the cold boot problem is there in the morning....!

I went to the computer store today looking for HS/fan.....explained what happened with the V8....and my temps...how they dropped with a crapy old zallman 3pin copper flower by 10 11c......

He said I can sell you the same thing but why? if your cores all are mid 30`s give or take......and mine are.....under a load 44c.....mine are.....

Don`t mess with it.....I then told him but I OC to 3.4 so I must need better?

No No No keep what you got.....but its a 3pin I have no control 100% fan speed.....He gave me a small black zallman box.......little dial on the back and said plug it in.......to the fan wires and you can control it..4pin 3pin....dont matter.....

He gave me it for free.....yes free....I did buy 2 fan grills but he didnt have any fans........just big back case ones, I got a superred already on the back of my case.

I`m gonna look for 4 3000 rpm fans.....That will do the trick and ditch what I`ve got ...other than the Superred monster on the back...which I highly recommend it..guys....its like a big blow dryer....no fooling but at least I got a grill for it now....

Mr.Eiht

Thank you for your response about the AI booster setting......I figured as much........I can only get it to boot with it on 13-14 and all 4 channels enabled.....see no diff whatso ever so its all on auto now........

Other than that I have another gadget to install but at least the salseman in the store was honest with me.....(leave it alone you got low temps) and a freeby to boot..........

I still like this computer, show it some luv and it gives it back.......
Like any relationship there are bound to be snags......you either work them out or get another one......

well here I go again...off comes the side of the case....

Type to you good folks soon.......

@Gore,
Nice you got that thing for free
beware 3000rpm fans will make allot of sound. even more @ 120mm.

@both
i still gotta turn of w7 driver signing, in order to read out all the timings, and continue the journey to high mem speed

i really have to check that aida thing. I bet that these aren`t the subs you actually have in the BIOS. And even if they are i recomend that you change them to something similar to mine. Some may need to be higher some could be lower but these give you a stable system and nice bandwith. And pre` plz post a pic from maxxmem2 of your bandwith.
Gore, like i wrote a couple of times (i guess) nice O.C! See this board needs more love than others but you gave it the love and now it`s huging back
forgot gore you could join here:

I agree Prescotter I have 2 3000rpm fans lapped right now on the upper side of the case but one is whining a little....so seeing I bought them at the same time its I feel a good course of action that if one is on its way out the second may not be far behind........ sure you would agree.

On the inside back of the case I have....to 2600rpm fans same deal one it whining just a little...... so I need 4 fans.....and be done with it altogether....

On the outside back case is the Big Superred lapped infront of the 2600rpm fans........freakin flow....or what....

As for the quiet/noise issue I recently bought a Zyphrus fan controller.
It has 5 3pin headers controlable by cpu load, temp, or MBM or manual sliders what ever you prefer.......also another 3 headers for aux fans......so 8 fans in total it can handle............and 3 probes I just put in also...so I am serious about cooling and air flow...no doubt...just some of the 80mm fans are getting old.....so just replace em...but I will look for 3000rmp 80mm fans as I have a good range then to adjust for noise, flow and such......

Right now the loudest is the zallman cpu...which is full 100% all the time as its a 3 pin and this board wants a 4pin see my delema. So hope this fan controller works when pluged in.....

Check out the images of the fan controller software Zephyrus........

Mr.Eiht I will check out the link....thanks very much for your forthright answers and concern.......Nice to see someone listens and uses Intelligence to help guide others...to a happy conclusion.......well done....CHEERS

Type to you folks soon...wish me luck off goes the side pannel

Since pre` allways poked me and loves to bully (me )
--- JK ---
I did this grabed some some software and read out subtiming
4-34-10-5 that i don`t have right now for the highest frequency 686Mhz which i don`t run.
The 4th time these ARE JEDEC standarts!
Of course they weren`t the ones i got now.
So i went into BIOS and set the AI booster to manual (thx gore )
That resulted in a not booting system (i didn`t change anything )
Thats where i wanted to be. Cause now the mobo loaded the default values for my RAM (subs: 4-72-10-5).
So i turned the booster off. Changed the subtimings to the values above.
And guess what : The bandwith was worse. Played with them a bit more and endet where i was before. GG!

Edit: sorry gore. lol didn`t read that carefully but that Zephyrus thing looks funky.
Although the software is much to bling-bling for my taste.
/* I hope nobody reads this: Get yourself a Noctua NH-D14 or like mine a NH-C14 and live happy till you want to O.C above 4GHz. Man do i love my cooler. OMG did i just write this visible */
