Rocketdock problems

Currently I'm using rainmeter and rocketdock to try to replace the windows taskbar completely on my laptop. This is my current setup if its important:

The problem I'm having is that windows explorer windows won't minimise to rocketdock, they get smart and minimise to the hidden taskbar. I've been googling around and I've found that its only an issue on windows 7, and people think its to do with the taskbar redesign but I haven't had a definitive answer on what is causing it, and how to fix it. If you could answer either or both of those questions it would be greatly appreciated thumb.gif

just out of stupid curiosity, if it is to do with the redesign, have you tried disabling the new taskbar and going with a classic view? i'm honestly not sure how to do this, but i believe it involves in reducing the icon size to small, and ungrouping the windows, i could be wrong, i'm sure there is a more detailed guide on how to do this.

maybe follow this guide: Classic View

Thats an interesting idea, I think I'll give it a go. TBH I don't really expect it to work though, I need it to behave like the win xp taskbar, not just look like it cool.gif

No go, still minimises to the hidden taskbar, not rocketdock. What else can I do...

Works for me, this is how I have the options set.
Some windows do not minimize to the dock unless launched by the dock for some reason.

Made no difference cool.gif

Note that its only windows explorer that does it (i.e. my computer control panel ect.). Its fine with anything else I use (VLC, opera, word, excel, gimp ect.). Weird huh.

i just got off the phone with my friend, he lied to me, he doesn't have windows 7, he has windows server 2008 (not r2).

are there any other docks, beside rocket and object made for windows? you google dock's for linux, and the list is long enough to choke your aunt Edna!

I'm too poor for photoshop redface.gif

Ah, the vista server edition, that'd work fine with it (it aparrently only happens with 7). Changing is pretty much out of the question me thinks, its one of the only ones that lets you minimise to the dock (which is what I sorta need) and it has all the themes I want already setup and ready to go.
