Comp Froze after ~36 hours folding

Thread Starter
I finally have my rig up and folding as of the other night... Running on both my CPU and GPU. I set it up 2 nights ago and checked on it yesterday morning and last night and everything was fine. Just got home from work and my comp was frozen as of 6:48 am this morning.

Think it's a bad OC? Mem problem, GPU? What you guys think would cause this?

Yeah I had tested it in the past for about 12 hours. It's been the same OC for several months... it's not new or anything.... Maybe it wasn't stable in the first place.

When you restart and log back into windows do you get a "Windows did not shut down successfully" prompt?

That can tell you a lot about the problem.

try testing for 24 plus hours and see what happens

Weird. I think if it was your o.c, your systems would have crashed within 12 hours of max load tops. Hard drive related? I really dont think this is cpu.

I could be way off though

No Windows didn't give me a prompt when I got back in. I did get one in my bios as windows was starting up though...

The OS is on my SSD which is only a few months old so I hope it's not related, I suppose it could be though, how could I test to find out?

I'm guessing unstable overclock. What methods did you use to stress test? Folding doesn't count. You can use Memtest to check the RAM, and it's highly unlikely to be your GPU.

I ran 2 hours of OCCT and then around 12 hours of Prime and all was fine so I assumed it was good. The ram is at factory settings so I wasn't too worried about that but I suppose I should run memtest to be sure.

So I've run Linx for 20 passes at max memory and passed with no problems. However the last two days I've come home from work and the computer has frozen in the afternoon twice (according to the on screen clock that's frozen). Today my computers' date had been pushed up to 2070... Any idea what could cause that?
