Comp Froze after ~36 hours folding - Page 2

Up vcore
Fold
If crash up vcore again
Fold
If crash vcore is not the problem, look for other possibilities.

Pretty sure you just need a bump in vcore.

Shouldn't the linx passes have rendered it a solid OC? Also when overclocking in the past everytime I've had an unstable OC the comp BSODed and then restarted. Today it sounds like it's still running but it's frozen completely and I have to do a hard reset. However when I boot back into windows there's no prompt saying that windows crashed?

Update: Passed 6 or 7 passes of memtest 86+ so that's stable. It's been folding on just the CPU for the last 30 hours with no problems. I'm starting to think this is GPU related, what do you guys think?

Could be. You have more than ample watts on that 12v rail so that can't be the problem. Although I find it extremely rare that a vid card freezes a system.

I really have nothing constructive to contribute... but that is awesome! Your comp locked up so hard it warped space-time! What's the future like?

It sucks... All the websites security certificates have expired so I can't securely log in to any accounts!

Just got home from the gym and comp froze at 830 so it went for about 32 hours. I'll bump the vcore and try again. Shouldn't 24 hours of folding mean it's pretty secure? I suppose it's more like no matter how hard you stress test it's only stable until it crashes.

Step 1.
Reset BIOS to defaults

Step 2.
Run a harddrive/SSD scan to check for bad sectors or currupt partition/s.

Step 3.
Re-install Windows.

Step 4.
if all else fails then it could be your SSD or Graphics card.

Have you checked temps? maybe it overheated?
Also check the power supply.
Also it could be the RAM.

my cpu overclock isn't 100% stable either. it fails when it gets hot or when I turn off the AC but mine folds for a week straight without hanging. if it survived 24 hours of folding it's very unlikely that any instablity wouldn't have cause any crashed within that time. my hunch is it's the power source.

It's not temp cause under load it's only up to 55c max. What tool can I use to check my ssd?
