Thread Starter
I have not overclocked yet but will soon my current temps are:

vgu- 30° celcius
mostly all my components are all under 40° celcius

are these good temps? also what are some good overclocking temps?

When you say under 40c, do you mean well under, or in the 40's range (35-40)?
I'd expect the H70 to take you lower than that.. I'm idling at 30 with my H70 right now.

Otherwise, the temperatures are fine. Well below the limits.

If all those temps are taken when the system was under full load then you are fine. You have loads of OC headroom. If not then run prime95 and take coretemp. Run furmark and take gputemp.

The most important temps when overclocking are under load. IIRC with my H70 the hottest I've seen my CPU get is 79C in Prime at 4.2 Ghz. Ambients, voltage, and fans will make a difference of course.
