Rog/2600k gets my vote if your budget allows u to. If not the pro/2500k isn't a bad choice either.

IMO get the pro/2500k and go with a better single GPU

imo unless you like to get a new pc every few years why do with something less than the best? the best is the 2600k and maximus IV extreme, they will both be at the top of the game for a long time especially if you water cool the CPU and overclock it around 4.7ghz or 5ghz.

How is the maximus IV extreme a waste of money? it has more SATA ports, more USB 3.0 ports and more USB ports in general by far, a better BIOS for overclocking, 2 Gigabit LAN ports which can really come in handy, and from what i read the P8P67 doesn't support Nvidia, the 580 is still the best card on the market.
Considering you have 580 in sli. The ROG would be the choice for myself too.
