My Prime 95 test results

Thread Starter
I just recently finished my new computer build and my friend helped me overclock to 4 ghz and after 4 1/2 hours on prime 95 everything is stable. I'm trying to understand what my overall cpu temps at idle and at max load would be.

Took a screenshot of "speedfan" and "core temp" with the cpu at 100% max load for 4 1/2 hours and these are the results:

Heres a screenshot of the temps in the bios immediately after the 4 hour prime 95 test.

Im seeing 63c cpu temps in core temp at 100% max load but then in the bios im seeing 33.6, am i missing something here or am I looking at 2 completely different readings?

In your BIOS, your computer is not at 100% load. Your BIOS temps are "idle" and your 100% load temps are 63 degrees. When you first turn on your computer and log into windows open up Core-temp and you'll see that CPU usage is 0%-1%..that's your idle temperature. When you run prime95, your usage goes to 100%, those are your temps at 100% load.

What you see in bios is socket temperature, Core Temp shows temperatures from cpu's built-in sensors. CPUTIN is socket temperature in this picture.
