That's right. This particular make of the X7 shares a shape with other various models which differ in whether it's laser or optical and the material used on the plastic. It's the best mouse I've had to date, coming from a X710BFS and X710MF.

Why not try the XL747H. It's a little bit tacky with that Spiderman logo, but I'm sure the sensor will deliver. (ADNS6010)

Try lifting your mouse and setting it back down on your surface. Tell me what happens.

Tracking issues.
Jitter issues.
You can not use the mouse on a cloth mat or it will give you more jitter than without.
Z-Axis tracking issue.

Afaik. The 3.5G Sensor is different from the Twin-Eye. Razer refers to that as their Dual Eye engine Sensor or something silly like that.

I use a Mamba with latest firmware, and I've never had any of those issues. And I use a cloth Dolica mouse-pad. Only issue I've ever had was having to restart the "mamba configurator" because the mouse stopped responding once. And my only complaint about the mouse is battery life, so I bought a bigger battery and away I go again.

I have a feeling that some of the problems people are experiencing with the 3.5G Laser(Philips Twin Eye PLN 2032) sensor they only notice because they read about it. Something they would never notice if they didn't read about it.

And the more the read about it, the more they focus on the problem and then one small problem can suddenely seem like a big problem

but maybe I'm wrong

Only issue I have with the Mamba [which uses the sensor in question] is the Z-Axis issue.

Though I never raise my mouse, I know it does happen, but it's a non issue... why would you even need to lift the mouse anyways? idk whatever.

As for the jitter, not one bit on my Goliathus Control [which is a cloth pad], so yeah.

I've used my Mamba on both hard mats and cloth pads, both without issue, I just prefer cloth pads since they're more comfortable smile.gif

Who the heck lifts a 5600DPI mouse? I almost never have a reason to pick up my mouse ever, even gaming. My hand hardly needs to move while gaming (I don't game at 5600 unless in a tank for BC2, I'm usually using somewhere in the 3000 DPI range for FPS)

This ^. Non issue for me. Might be an issue if you are in a habit of picking it up for some reason. No jitter on my Dolica Midnight cloth pad either.

Just because you dont doesnt mean the problem doesnt exist. I'm sure alot of people resort to lifting their mice when they.

A. Run out of space.
B. Are high sensitivity players and lift their mice so they can put it back to where they want it to be.
C. RTS gamers.

It's an inconvenience to have your cursor and FOV drop down(800dpi @ 20 Sensitivity in the Source engine and 1.75 at BC2 or 200 @ Crysis.) having owned and tested a couple of mice the said sensor.

Honestly. At the people who say "no. I dont notice that cause I dont lift my mouse." well, it's all right for you, but what might be fine for you doesnt mean it's fine for everyone.

And I quote.

There are no ear muffs for that.

Deathadder isn't laser.

It's an LED based sensor just like any optical mouse.
