Gtx 460 dead space 2 question

Thread Starter
Hi guys I'm kinda on the beginner side about hardware and stuff. Is 60 FPS in dead space 2 running on 1980x1080 max all other setting normal for a single gtx 460 because I saw others running the game in same setting in 100+ fps. I do have turned the Vsync off but yeah the fps is kinda stuck on 60 ish.

Well,

Were they running the same hardware? If they had a better GPU or SLi setup then they will get more fps.

Hmm don't know here's the video I was comparing mine to

.

My specs are
i7-2600
gtx 460 1gb (gigabyte)
msi p67a-gd65
8gb gskill ripjaws

All of these are in stock setting (no experience and little knowledge about overclocking) >.<

If the fps doesn't move from 60 then you have vsync on. Check your nvidia driver settings. Either way 60fps is great, so stop your complaining

I get in the 100's when I run fraps with the same resolution as you and fully maxed. 60 isn't bad as long as it runs smooth I wouldn't get too upset

As compuman145 said, if your running the game with v-sync off you are not stuck or capped in frames.
It could be your hardware (cpu/ram). Also check in nvidia control panel if v-sync is off.
You can try an overclock your 460 to see if u gain fps.

Lol I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering. I have the Vsync off in game though I force it on in the nvidia control panel.

Forcing it means it is on. Stop forcing it and see what FPS you get although anything over 60 is kinda mute. That will give you the comparison you are looking for.
