Mushkin Callisto suddenly "uninitialized"

So basically my laptop has Mushkin Callisto 120GB, when I turned the computer on today I got a error saying "No OS found".

I removed the disk and connected to my desktop comp. and the disk pops up as "uninitialized" and "unformatted".

Is this a common problem with the Callisto disks or any other SSD's?

I really could use some help guys. Could firmware update fix this?

I doubt a fw update will help, but it is worth a try if you are not on the latest. What fw is on the SSD now? The original fw that was loaded to the SSD is on the sticker on the back of the drive. The latest fw is 340/343/

What laptop is the SSD in? Have you updated the laptop to the latest BIOS, drivers, etc.?

Before anything I'll have to correct that this happened to 60GB-DX, but also happened to another laptop I had few months ago, and that was 120GB.

I've updated the fw and made some modifications on the OS, eg. disable sleep. This happened on a Toshiba Satellite Pro C650 - 176 but I had the same problem about 4 months ago on my Dell Vostro 3500, after sleep it didn't detect OS and when connected to another computer it was "not initialized".

If this happens again I'll look up the old fw and the on I updated to. Thanks for the reply, kudos to Mushkin for being on OCN!

I'm a bit concerned about this, as Mushkin was my first choice for when I eventually get an SSD. Is this a common issue?

Either way, subscribed, and I hope you get your issue sorted.
