Ok, since I have given up on the 2000mhz RAM and am now running it on 1600Mhz, I have shifted my approach to this OC and am just trying now to manage the 4ghz OC that everyone says is "a piece of cake" with a 1090T.
I assume that my difficulties lie in the fact that I have 4 sticks of RAM, So I would really appreciate some expert help here. I cant really tell if these settings are stable because I have to shut down due to overtemp (I have CoreTemp adjusted with an offset of +10 degrees as everyone recommends due to some issues with the 1090T temp modules.
This is the subject of question #1. What measurement do I trust? The Sensor of AI Suite II, Coeretemp with the +10degree offset? Some other program? My readings are all different, so I dont know if I actually have a temp problem or not. Currently the system idles at 36 degrees. Is this good/bad or average?
Question #2 is the RAM, I have been advised by popular experts on various OC forums to set my CPU/NB and HTT to 3000, and bump my DRAM voltage from 1.65 to 1.70. This I have done.
After around 10 mins of Prime95 my temps reach 60 degrees which is where I set CoreTemp overheat protection to shut down my machine. Which it does.
If I can trust the AI sensor more then I have a much larger room to prime test as the temp shows considerably lower as you can see in the pictures.
The last thing is that I am sure I put way to little thermal compound on my Noctua D14 after looking at all the serious tutorials on the subject. Can this be my cluprit?
Please help because I have reached a wall where I cant figgure it out by net research further at this point.
