I did install Ubuntu with Wubi.exe on my HDD (the one I want Ubuntu on).
However, I cannot boot. I get some error message regarding Windows (when I try to boot where ubuntu is) ? :S

If what I said above can be the cause. I can reboot and find out the exact error message.

Cheers
I don't know if this was covered already. But never treat Wubi.EXE as an install. I'm pretty sure it requires windows in some way shape or form to work. It's one thing I wish Canonical would get rid of because of how confused it makes people. Never use it. Maybe others know something about how to make it work but I've heard nothing but horrific things about it and how it's described in terms of purpose makes no sense.

Sorry for the sidetrack but it's one thing I feel deserves a sticky warning people about. Hopefully now that you've got transhour's and voodoo direction the REAL installation will go through well for you and you'll enjoy Ubuntu. Maybe even venture into other distros. Hope you enjoy it.

Was there a previous raid at some point on this old disk? You would need to remove the info in order for Ubuntu to install.

Type in terminal on a live cd:
Code:
sudo dmraid -E -r /dev/name_of_your_disk
You need the name of the disk i.e. sda1 sda2 sdb1 etc this information can get had from gparted in the upper left where you select which disk to work on.
