Post a vantage and/or 11 score.

I get the same score in Vantage, don't have 11 yet.

Doesn't matter, I sent the GTX 460 SE back already.

I'll probably just get a GTX 560.. the GTX 460 ran Crysis @ 1080p almost flawlessly, but I feel like a few more frames would make it perfect.

Only problem is, I only have 28A on the HTPC's PSU.

There's your problem

The 460 "SE" has 48 cuda cores locked, so it only comes with 288 instead of 336 like true GTX 460s.

No, it's not the card. My 8800 GTS 512 gets the same score with 128 SPs.

It's the CPU. 3DMark06 is simply 100% CPU limited at this point.

8800GT SLI (~= GTX280) is actually not far behind a stock 460 in performance.

8800GTS SLI could very well outperform a 460 SE.

A CPU bottleneck wouldn't lower your score moving to a more powerful GPU setup.

This and the fact that your E8400 is holding you back a little.
I have a gtx460 and a phenom II x6, when I run 06 my score is around 25k+.

Did you try reinstalling drivers?
