If size is not an issue then get SA over D14. If size is a problem then Prolimatech super mega over VenX.

Your ram could be an issue if they have high heatsinks on them if you get the SA.

well im getting ripjaw x's and on noctuas website it says they fit fine. so would they fit with the SA?
Lets be clear: performance-wise, SA and D14 can be thought as equal (1ºC more or less, which is nothing).

Now, here is the deal. I've been looking into both for a ton of time, and decided I would get neither (nor Archon, this one is just too damn tall for most cases). Why?

a) They are so big you need to plan ahead when deciding a case (it seems not to be your problem). This is a factor for me as I'm looking for a mATX build and many mATX boards have the socket area close to on of the edges. HS may not clear the side of the case.

b) You need to take into account RAM height. SA clears something like 40mm whereas D14 clears around 44mm. Ripjaws and Ripjaws X (same height, for what I've gathered) are around 40-41mm..some say its tight with SA, some say its a no go.

c) You need to make sure you clear the 8 pin mobo connector. It may seem obvious but both D14 and SA are incredible big.

d) We are talking about Sandy Bridge, aka low power processors. If you keep in mind the quantity of trade-offs there are I would go for something easier, like a Prolimatech Megahalems (and I will, for those stated things).

BUT, If I were to choose between the two, It depends. If your ram clears, go for SA (fan is as good as it gets, and its PWM). If it doesn't, go for D14.

IDK, I'm hearing that SA has better ram compatibility than NH-D14, but I'm not sure about it. I mean if in doubt, get a 2 fan Archon I guess if you don't want it to intrude on RAM. It'll fit on the HAF 932 easily, it's only issue is it's width, it may obstruct if your PCI-E x16 is up high. Seems like each cooler has a certain clearance issue with something for great cooling/low noise haha.

No it doesn't come with any fans. But you can get some cheap typhoons or yate loons though.
