So you removed the hot swap bays, how hard was that and what did it involve? Was it just unscrewing the bits and removing it?

Yep. Just take out for screws. CoolerMaster did a good job not riveting that part in.

Man you jsut answered my question in regards to can I internally mount a Rx120 where the rear exhaust fan is with a RX240 currently mounted on top as well. I was going back and forth if I would have space. Your pics clearly shows There is not enough space to mount both the RX120 plus a fan in that area. So my options are 1. have the fan mounted ouside the case in pull config with the RX120 inside, or 2. like you place it where the PSU cable cover currently is

I have the same controller. Its nice, works well, but is only 10 watts per channel.

You can't go below 40% speed for the fan, unless you turn it off. But being able to see temps from the sensors is really nice.

I just switched out the fan controller from NZXT to the Rheosmart 6 which has 30w per channel and looks a lot more polished against the HAF-X case (including red leds). I'll be taking pics for my next round of updates soon with the new controller.

what did you do with your rear 120mm fan, just remove it entirely?
Thread Starter
No I put in another Scythe GT 120mm fan in the rear pushing air out. Ambients are 29-30c with 49-50c under load. I really like the setup so far. I just got in the Koolance loopback adapter for the reservoir in the mail yesterday so I'll be adding that today.

WOW man nice work. Just decided to lose my watercooling virginity recently - and damn man, so much planning is involved.

I was seriously considering the HAF-X for watercooling, but the big-ass red front fan kills it for me. I got a black/blue theme kinda going and yeh...

Ill probably end up watercooling a CM 690II advanced - top 240 and bottom 240
