This isn't just great for lower power/performance netbooks but for us as well. Less system resources the better. We should still be on windows XP but with better resource management like Windows 7.

I wonder how this new interface will go.

We should also be using horse and carriage but with the speed and efficiency of a Ferrari. Less resource usage = Damn Small Linux.

This is as FUGLY as it gets. Thank you very much MS, you have come up with a UI that's uglier than DOS and DOS doesn't even have a UI.

Why does everyone think this is the UI for Windows 8? There is no indication that Windows 8 will look any different to Windows 7, apart from the safe assumption that it will have even more fake glass effects. Beyond Windows 8 I can see something like this being more acceptable because companies like MS are telling people to believe that they want to use big flashy buttons and that they will somehow be more productive through this change of interaction. Remember, software companies need to at least give the impression that they are improving our lives, otherwise we won't shell out any money. Unfortunately for software companies, big business doesn't listen to TV ads about the latest whiz-bang gadget.

doesn't have too much material in it and the title might be a bit too dramatic and misleading but I think it's an interesting read / video anyway. And I also hope it isn't a repost of some sort.

I'm happy with the current interface, Microsoft. There's a reason we've not beaten your doors down and forced you to change it at gunpoint over these past 20 years or so. It works.

Save that bubbly crap for the xBox's replacement.

My guess would be that this may be some portable or media focused OS. I doubt they would stray this far for Windows 8.

Just my 2 cents.
