[DF/EG] Face-Off: Bulletstorm - Page 2

Game runs like **** for me, no matter what settings. I'll be getting 60fps than WOOPS random dip into the 20s.

I take it that this won't make my PC "weep" then :/

I'll pick this up when i can get it for a good price on PC or Xbox. Which ever comes 1st.

Unreal Engine 3 wants to keep your experience smooth, and thus locks you into a maximum framerate. To change this, open your "StormEngine" configuration file, and scroll down about one-fifth of the way down. If you would like to increase your maximum framerate, change the value of MaxSmoothedFrameRate as high you would like to go. If you'd like to turn this feature off completely, simply set bSmoothFrameRate to "false."
Awesome Going to go try now.

Wow, I just read the any resolution that runs @ 16:10 caps at 30 FPS. That's ridiculous, man.
It has to be capped then. I didn't do anything apart from forcing SSAA through nVidia inspector.......

Maybe you should look into Zcypot's thread.

I did, nothing really answering my question there. I read you can change the FPS cap via StormEngine config, but when I opened my config up it's encrypted

Edit - Did some searching. There's a program you can download here that allows you to view the encrypted ini files ^_^

Did you try to open it with notepad?

EDIT:

Disable Vsync if it's enabled. The game automatically caps at 62 FPS if you do that and don't forget to restart the game afterwards.

One of the biggest problems is the fact that Bulletstorm HATES 16:10 resolutions.
Mine was at all high setting with no AA, and at 1680x1050 it was running about 20-30fps.
I switched to 1680x1200, at the same settings, and it jumped to 60fps.

I just went into nvidia control panel under game profile or whatever it is, Then I just set force vsync on for bulletstorm. Now I'm at a constant 60 fps.

I disabled Vsync, now it's not capped at 30 FPS anymore, but instead I have around 45... Is that because this game is just demanding when it comes to AA?
