I'm telling you, get those cores locked, especially with the A70 and air skipping over the VRM area
And LinX is usually the app that makes boards asplode
This. Ur comp gonna 'splode.
And my sig OC isn't stable (I've been meaning to change it, will do so).
Thought I had 3.7, but just can't quite find it. Chips have their limits mate, and you might have to settle for slightly less. A 3.6-3.7ghz Quad when you paid for a 3ghz Triple is an almost 25% increase in cores and frequency for free. Not too shabby.
But yeah, without a new MB you are doomed regardless ... lock it down and clock it to stock mate, better to have a slower working PC than a fried hard-lesson.Edited by willibj - 3/10/11 at 11:09pm
