Yep you are getting to the limit of the chip, I had one and no matter what I did I couldn't get past 3.7 unlocked.

I think it's an extremely bad idea to unlock into a 125W quad core processor on an extremely cheap 2-transitor 4+1 board design

I'm telling you, get those cores locked, especially with the A70 and air skipping over the VRM area
And LinX is usually the app that makes boards asplode

This. Ur comp gonna 'splode.

And my sig OC isn't stable (I've been meaning to change it, will do so).

Thought I had 3.7, but just can't quite find it. Chips have their limits mate, and you might have to settle for slightly less. A 3.6-3.7ghz Quad when you paid for a 3ghz Triple is an almost 25% increase in cores and frequency for free. Not too shabby.

But yeah, without a new MB you are doomed regardless ... lock it down and clock it to stock mate, better to have a slower working PC than a fried hard-lesson.

hello fellow conspiracy traveler

On my unlocked x3 740, so far my best 11h30m P95 stable setup is using

310x12=3.72 GHz CPU @ roughly from memory 1.47.....
310x9=2.79 GHz CPU/NB @roughly from memory 1.48...

I can't get 310x12.5 to work yet, but once I go water cooling, I'll use even more volts
