Pretty much what you're experiencing now, instability. The computer will crash randomly, programs may not function properly and eventually it can lead to the corruption of your Operating System installation.

You may be able to stabilise the core, however due to it's rather extreme instability I'm doubting it. The only thing you can do is up the volts a little, but since you're on the stock cooler and temps won't be reading properly you'll have to be really careful.

Other than that you will just have to shut the core down and live with the x3 CPU that you bought. You'll hardly notice the difference unless you're a multi-tasking freak anyway and it's better having a stable tricore than an unstable quad.

Hahahaha very true. The games I play wont be affected by switching back to a tricore?

I highly doubt it, 99% of games out there are only utilising two cores at best anyway, ofcourse that's all depending on what you actually play.

I'm on a dualcore and can still game freely, I'm playing Crysis on very high settings as we speak (alt+tab ftw).

+1
I once ran crysis l4d2 and bioshock 2 at the same time

Yeah one core wont make much of a difference unless you render or like me.
