voltage

Alright so this seems like a newbie question, but what voltage does stereo equipment typically run off?

I have a fairly nice RCA Bass Reflex set, with 150W Bi-Amps. (300w total)
The two bookshelf speakers it comes with have two 6 ohm drivers in each unit, one consuming 70w, one 30. So what voltage do these run?

110v i'd assume. basic household current. if your talking about speakers themselves, voltage varies with volume.

If you just want a simple calculation that is done simply enough:

Power = v^2 / R; v^2 = P*R; v = sqrt(P*R);

v = sqrt(70W * 6ohms) = 20V
v = sqrt (30W * 6ohms) = 13.4V

(however I believe this is probably at peak power just FYI)
