I have a rat7, and I almost never use it. The lack of overhanging surfaces for thumb/pinky, coupled with the high weight makes it really hard to lift and move it in mid-air. You have to death grip the thing to lift pan it with any accuracy or reliability.

According to the sticky, the Abyssus has unfixable jitter--unfixable cause the firmware can't be updated or something. I don't know anything about the RAT 3, but if it's anything like the RAT 7, then it's way too heavy for me. That leaves that lovely MX518

personally i think the rat 3 is good because you don't have to switch out of your game to change the profile. The rat 3 is very comfortable if you have big hands and use a claw grip. i picked the rat 3 up for £35 at Argos (UK store).

RAT 3 is a waste of money IMO. Rather get the RAT 5, the price difference ain't too big.

New ones come with updated firmware, they're not supposed to jitter anymore.

Well that is possible if your mouse pad is 40" diagonal, like some. I myself have a mouse pad with 25" diagonal

Am I the only one with the impression that people buy these R.A.T mice because they look ridiculous?
