so my question is, can my current psu (600w) run Crossfire 6870? or do i need more powerful psu... im not sure if this thread should be here but since it's both related so i thought of posting here.

I don't think so. I wouldn't feel comfortable with it. It would definitely be pushing it.

600w is fine for 6870s in crossfire. Your PSU is a decent model as well. You'll be perfectly fine.
